Veridi Technologies: AI-powered soil microbiome analytics.

Veridi Technologies is pioneering the use of computer vision and automated microscopy to diagnose plant pathogens and analyse soil biodiversity.

Insights:

Soil microbiology is a black box at the center of our food system.

95%

of our food is produced directly or indirectly in the soil

25%

of biodiversity on earth consists of soil microorganisms

70%

of soil in the European Union is in a degraded state

99%

of species in the soil microbiome are yet to be discovered

We combine optics, precision mechatronics, deep learning and cloud computing to automate manual laboratory work.

How does it work?

Accurate, affordable & scalable

Our platform optimises laboratory diagnostics workflows , but most importantly allows significant cost savings.

Roadmap: a step by step approach

Starting with plant parasitic nematodes in the Netherlands, we are then expanding to environmental nematodes. Environmental nematodes are excellent soil biodiversity indicators. The same technology can also be applied to other microorganisms of interest such as fusarium.
